Biography
Hi! I was born November 28th, 1984 in Centereach, New York.
I moved to Florida when I was 17, to live with my Aunt and look at colleges. I enrolled in Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Florida and graduated in 2008 with a bachelor’s degree in Creative Writing and Literature. I’ve never worked a single day in editing, professional writing or the publishing industry, and I’m actually a geriatric social worker in a skilled nursing facility in St. Petersburg, Florida. This means I work with the elderly every day, which is amazing and so much fun! I participate in The Walk to End Alzheimer’s every year, which is an amazing cause that needs funding and support, so please consider donating here.
I am married to a wonderful guy I have been friends with since I was seventeen, and we have two Labrador kids with appropriately nerdy names – LeeLoo and Tiberius. We also recently added a black cat named Malcolm to the family. We call him Mal. We love to go to conventions together, travel, read, and enjoy time with our pets and our families and friends. He’s very understanding and supportive of me with all of my flaws and neuroses and quirks. He’s really, really amazing.
Thanks for checking out my page and my about me! Feel free to send me a message and say hi! I started this blog to reach out to geek girls and guys alike, to combat depression and social anxiety, to reach out, like The Doctor says, and offer a hand to hold. I hope you’ll reach out, too.
